The highlight of the trip is Felix Romuliana, a UNESCO-listed Roman site from the 4th century. Once a luxurious imperial residence, it is famous for its preserved architecture and stunning mosaics.
Here you’ll also discover where the last imperial burial ritual of the Roman Empire took place—an unforgettable piece of history brought to life by your guide.
Your next stop in exploring Roman heritage will be in the nearby city of Zajecar. Over there is a great museum with an excellent exhibition and original mosaics that were found on the Romuliana site. Besides Roman history, you'll also discover an interesting presentation about local culture, history, and way of life.
This part of Serbia is also know for a misterious Mountain Rtanj. This pyramid - shape mountain attracts many hikers from all around Europe, but it is also connected with many intriguing and mysterious stories.
