Explore the Secret Honey Garden of Silos Belgrade

About this experience

Step into one of Belgrade’s most magical hidden places—The Honey Garden, located just behind the Silos Cultural Center. This nature and wellness experience offers a rare opportunity to connect with bees through apitherapy, hands-on beekeeping, and guided tasting.

Start by lying above a live hive of 100,000 bees in a specially designed apitherapy bed and feel their natural vibrations and calming energy. Then, suit up and step into a real beehive. Observe bees in action, spot the queen, and discover how honey is made.

Conclude with a tasting of local honey, royal jelly, propolis, and honey-based drinks like mead and herbal infusions.

Led by a certified beekeeper and apitherapist with over a decade of experience, this may be the only experience of its kind in Europe, blending urban beekeeping, apitherapy, and local culture in a small-group setting.

Itinerary and highlights

Begin your experience in a peaceful garden behind Belgrade’s Silos Cultural Center. After meeting your certified beekeeper host, you’ll learn how bees support urban biodiversity and receive a safety briefing.

Start with apitherapy: lie above a live hive (one person at a time) and feel the calming vibrations and scents while learning about the health benefits of hive air.

Then, suit up for hands-on beekeeping. Open a hive, observe the bees, spot the queen, and learn how honey is produced and stored.

Finish with a guided tasting of local honey, royal jelly, propolis, and pollen. Try honey-based drinks like mead and herbal infusions, and explore handmade beeswax items from our apiary.

This intimate, small-group activity offers a rare chance to connect with bees, nature, and local tradition.
