Itinerary and highlights
Travelers will be picked up from central Belgrade and driven about an hour to a traditional family homestead in Kupinovo, in the Srem countryside. Upon arrival, the host will welcome guests and give a short tour of the homestead — meeting the farm animals and seeing where the homemade cheese, cured meats, and other products come from.
Next, guests will take part hands-on in the traditional rakija-making process, guided step by step by the host — from seeing how the fruit mash is prepared to helping with the actual distilling. At the end, each guest will bottle their own 100ml bottle of rakija to take home as a souvenir.
Guests who prefer a non-alcoholic activity, or who are traveling with children, can instead (or additionally) join an optional hands-on workshop making ajvar or homemade jam, while children spend time with the farm animals.
The experience continues with a relaxed BBQ or vegan lunch featuring the homestead's own cheese, cured meats, and other local specialties. Once the meal is finished, guests are driven back to Belgrade.
